It still never fails to raise a few eyebrows and gain a laugh when I explain that my first job was as an overseas holiday rep. I always tell people that I did it to learn languages and broaden my experience base, but let’s be honest – I did it to have a laugh.
However, what that early part of my career did do for me was to really develop my people skills and it was those skills that enabled me to gain my first job in recruitment. From that point on it was clear that recruitment was a career I suited to and that I could excel within.
As I enter my second decade in the industry I have become a specialist / niche supplier to the Enterprise Software Sales market. I’m proud to say that I have an unrivalled network of contacts in this market as well as a track record for delivering superb recruitment solutions, time and time again.
I feel that there are so many similarities between my approach and the ethos of Jenrick, so I am greatly looking forward to developing my career at the Jenrick Head Office.
Now, to my photo. Before you may ask – no, I don’t practise underwater cycling. I’m actually a very keen triathlete. I’ve completed one Ironman event plus several others at Olympic distance. My favourite events (so far) have been the Monaco Ironman, which I followed up by running the Florence Marathon – I’m sure there are easier ways to see these cities, but definitely not more satisfying.
