Service Manager (Fire, Security and AV), London, £35K

A new role is immediately available within an expanding fire and security organisation with ambitious plans for future expansion. The whole business provides a range of security, fire, AV and data services across the UK and is looking to recruit a service / contract manager for its London office. The ideal candidate will have a high level of experience and expertise across all of the above sectors, but with a particular emphasis on fire detection and suppression systems.

Summary of Duties and responsibilities:

· Develop the current contracts to optimise efficiency and returns
· Look at current market opportunities and identify future growth areas
· Build and develop relationships with all key clients
· Implement a full system of KPI implementation, management and monitoring
· Raise quotes for Defect works, Projects works & New customers installs
· Generate New and existing works.
· Monitor and control all engineers works, PPM, reactive works, small project works.
· Ensuring that all paperwork is completed to the clients specification, e.g work permits, consent to works, Completed PPM works orders to the deadlines.
· Dealing with engineers issues i.e. holidays, sickness, queries on expenses, wages, overtime and staffing problems
· Arranging credit checks for new customers, setting up contracts and taking deposits
· Dealing with recruitment and organise inductions and training
· Maintaining stock control/ordering
· Gathering training manuals and product information for engineers and/or customers
· Ensure that all call outs are attended within 4 hours or booking in suitable times
· Any site activations, to be dealt with as a matter of urgencies. Produce extensive reports on all activations, certain faults and recommendations required.
· Responsible for any sub-contracted works.
· Arrange site surveys, collect info and requirements required by customer.
· Work with the clients to ensure that we are delivering to our clients requirements.


The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
· A high level of experience in the industry (ideally with experience of running a service team).
· A good technical knowledge of all systems, ideally being able to demonstrate a practical understanding of all elements of the system.
· A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
· The ability to communicate at all levels, with both clients and colleagues.
· Will be able to manage and liase throughout all levels of the business.
· Will ideally have a knowledge of project management.
· The ability to problem solve.
· The ability to recognise opportunities and to develop them.
· Will have a knowledge of software based reporting and management systems.
· Will understand financial aspects of the business and will be able to report on revenue streams and associated financial criteria.
· Will understand Key Performance Indicators and will work within agreed targets.
· Will be able to work to tight deadlines and deliver within targeted time frames.
· Will be flexible and versatile and will clearly understand the role.
· Will be able to develop a strategy for future growth.
· Will be able to develop and implement business plans for improvement.
