Clinical Research Scientist: Up to £116,000 per annum, Large Blue Chip Co, Weybridge Based.


Basic qualifications Required:

Experience in the healthcare Research & Development industry.
Bachelor's Degree in science, dentistry or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
Worked within either a commerercial, OTC or oral healthcare area to understand market dynamics
Clinical research experience, incuding study deign
Ability to plan and arrange a clinical program and achieve applicable milestones.
Ability to identify and analyze complex problems and recommend actions.
Network of relationships with Key Opinion leaders
Ability to author and review clinical reports.
Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and publishing scientific reports and clinical protocols.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to commercial teams and others in supporting roles in understandable fashion
Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external customers.
Background and expertise in instrumentation methodology
Willingness to travel as required to carry out the functions of the job.


Role Responsibilities

To work with the Director Clinical Research, R&D team, Clinical Operations, BioStatistics, Regulatory Affairs and Product Development and the Brand organization to prepare clinical development plans for sensitivity, erosion dry mouth, gingivitis, and plaque products and other initiatives in support of the Oral Care Category.
Liaise with the Director Clinical Research, Clinical operations and BioStatistics to develop innovative study designs to enable new and competitive claims to be made for the Oral Care area.
Partner with the Director Clinical Research, Clinical operations and BioStatistics to access scientific literature in pother areas to help develop innovative methodology to assess products to enable new and competitive claims to be made for the Oral Care area.
Work with Director Clinical Research, medical staff and R&D team to generate exploratory protocol outlines to progress oral care learning's to aid in the development of testing methods
Review scientific literature and provide clinical expertise to facilitate preparation of clinical and therapeutic strategies for the oral healthcare category.
Lead a matrix team through clinical study activities; and ensure that the study programmes support strategies developed by senior management.
Liaise with and build good working relationships with external key opinion leaders and investigators as appropriate.
Coordination of internal and external resources in the conduct of multiple studies with the goal of providing support for product registration and claims.
Draft technical contracts and participate in the negotiation and administration of contracts associated with clinical studies. Ensure clinical trial design meets GCP and SOP requirements.
Participate in identifying new opportunities in Oral Care and reviewing them when they are presented to company.
Provide support to local and central oral care marketing teams on claims and other technical issues.
Prepare expert reports for use in product registrations or for defense against challenge
Keep up to date with scientific literature in appropriate areas.
Provide clinical expertise and prepare clinical development plans
Develop innovative study designs to enable new and competitive claims
Lead a matrix team through clinical study activities
