Job Description:
Clinical Operations Manager: Weybridge Based, Global Company, Up to £50K Base Bonus Benefits

Duties:

Demonstrates ability to work with minimal/limited oversight using own judgement based on experience.
Provide leadership and management of operational implementation of regional/global clinical development trials.
Lead matrixed clinical sub-team with key partners from Medical Affairs, Clinical Supplies, Biostatistics and Data Management, Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Compliance.
Input into the operational feasibility of the study design.
Manage development of clinical protocols and study reports.
Manage development of study cost projections and timelines, prepare documentation to request competitive bids from CROs, Investigators and other vendors.
Track and report on study spend and phasing to manage budget projections and forecasts.
Maintain relationships and monitor performance of CROs, contract CRAs and other vendors.
Provide applicable training to each.
Recognise opportunity for process improvement initiatives and represent Clinical Operations on internal process improvement teams.

Ideal Candidate Background Preferred:

Bachelor level degree.
Major course of study in a science or health related field.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry including working in clinical research with clinical project management.
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and negotiation skills.
Clear leadership capabilities and demonstrated aptitude for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Broad experience working as a member of a cross-functional team.
Knowledge of medical and regulatory requirements to support global drug development.
Experience in conducing clinical studies with medical devices, over-the-counter (OTC) and oral healthcare products would be an advantage.
Experience in running pharmacokinetic studies preferred.
Medical writing skills, ie. a proven record of writing clinical protocols and study reports.
