HR Business Partner, 6 Month Contract, Up to £40K Base with Bonus, Large Blue Chip Company:

Job Purpose:

To build collaborative business partnerships with key stakeholders that support the process of aligning HR strategy with business strategy and to ensure the delivery of an HR Service that adds measurable value to the customers for the benefit of the business.

Accountabilities and Activities

Actively engage internal customers to build strong business partnerships in which you understand their objectives, challenges and areas for development.

Pro-actively support the HR Management team in the development of HR Strategy that can be integrated into the business functions to add value.

Provide support and challenge to managers to help them reach complex decisions on all aspects of strategic HR and people management.

Partner line managers to lead and facilitate change within the business and to help continually develop the businesses capacity for change.

Pro-actively support and coach colleagues in the development of the people management skills including up to date knowledge of legislation.

To work collaboratively with the specialist HR functions such as Learning, Development & Talent, Reward, Resourcing and Organisation Development and to use their expertise to help develop solutions that will support the business in achieving their objectives.

Drive the successful implementation of new HR initiatives to ensure that they meet the needs of the business and that managers have a full understanding of how they operate and the value they can bring.

To manage, develop, integrate and evaluate appropriate HR policies, which support the business objectives.

Use best practice knowledge from the external market to help guide internal policies and interventions.

Provide proactive support and solutions to managers in all areas of employee relations that balance commercial advantage and legal risk.

Undertake ad-hoc HR projects, such as diversity initiatives, ISO standard audits etc. in line with business priorities, representing Group HR interests in cross-functional and departmental projects.

Manage various key HR processes e.g. Salary Review, Performance Reviews, SOP and Management Bonus ensuring efficient, accurate operation.

Development and delivery of in-house management training programmes e.g. Buzz sessions on Performance management.

To implement and manage the Group internal recruitment and annual checks in accordance with the HR policy and as agreed with the Approved Persons Controller.

Qualification, Training and Experience Preferred:

Degree qualified.
CIPD qualified or similar accredited professional qualification.
Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and understanding of all generalist HR activities, the value they can deliver and how to integrate them into a corporate environment, including: ER, L&D, Talent Management, OD, Reward and Recruitment.
Advanced working knowledge of employment law.
Demonstrate the ability to deliver strategically aligned and practical HR solutions
Adopts a creative solutions based approach
An excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills who can build a key network of contacts internally and externally.
Personal credibility and an ability to influence key stakeholders across the customer base and throughout the organisation
Possess the ability and sensitivity to effectively work across the breadth of all organisation levels.
