Senior HR Manager, London, Global Organisation

Position Purpose:

This position is a broad role which will manage all human resources activity for the client groups mainly in the UK but also in the region. Acting as a business partner, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on human resource issues, including resourcing and recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, career and leadership development and performance management.

The position offers scope to lead a number of projects and initiatives designed to support our business and the opportunity to engage with HR best practice techniques and Centres of Excellence.

Key activities:

Understand business issues and translates HR and functional business goals into proactive human resources plans to enable successful achievement of business results
Manage the effective implementation of human resources activities such as recruitment, compensation planning and review, performance and talent management, career and leadership development and on boarding
Assist management and HR Director in designing and implementing changes in organisational structure including implications of restructuring.
Respond to management and employee operational inquiries regarding policies, procedures, employee benefits and programmes.
Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Analyse trends within the client organization in turnover, hiring, promotions, and separations to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavourable trends.
Build effective business relationships within functions to proactively support client needs

Skills required:

Bachelor's degree or graduate calibre, CIPD or part CIPD qualified.
Proven track record of implementing human resources practices such as performance management, training, talent management, employee relations issues, recruitment and managing organisation change.
Flexible, adaptable and dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal customers.
Results oriented
Thorough knowledge of human resource policies and procedures as well as UK employment law.
Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels within the business.
Able to build effective relationships within a challenging client group
Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Experience of working within professional services or the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage
Good judgement and the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point
