Job Description:
Internal Communications Advisor: Up to £200 per day, Heathrow Area.
Purpose:
To support the design and implementation of exceptional two way communication within the operational areas of the company. To work closely with key stakeholders across the department, delivering internal communication improvements through creative solutions, support, advice and challenge. To support wider Communications team to deliver companies communications strategy.
The primary focus is working with the broader communications team, Operations and HR to ensure that internal messages are delivered to the right people at the right time using the right medium. In addition, work within the team to ensure that the employee communication strategy meets the needs of the people and that the work plan is delivered to maximum effect.
Principal accountabilities and responsibilities:
Provide outstanding consultancy support to enable company to deliver communications in support of business priorities.
Support development and implementation of the communication strategy.
Work within business units to identify communication needs, recommend solutions and support delivery.
Work within the communications team to develop and improve channels and production materials, ensuring that they meet the business units needs.
Work within communications channels to keep information relevant and ensure local business units are represented.
Spend time within the business unit gaining an understanding of the local issues.
Gather feedback on specific messages.
Provide coaching to business unit managers on their communication style and impact.
Continuously review processes, ensuring fit for purpose. Identify gaps, recommend and implement solutions.
Support implementation of new face-to-face structure within business unit, ensuring current best practice is maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate calibre.
At least 2 years experience in a communications (or similar) role.
A thorough understanding of the principles and benefits of employee communications, with demonstrated experience in planning and delivery.
Good business knowledge and experience, both within the industry and other sectors.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
IT literate.
