Job Description:
* Olympic Torch Events Co-ordinator * £102 per day * Contract starting 1st Feb for 7 months * Role based in Hammersmith * Working for one of the sponsors of the London 2012 Olympics

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team supporting London 2012 Olympics. This role is going to be working with the Olympic Torch Relay Team. The main responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee the logistics, operations and budget for accommodation and travel for the Coca Cola Core Crew Olympic Torch Relay (OTR) team for the 70 day relay.

The role is split into two areas. Pre-Relay and whilst the Relay is actually taking place.

Due to the nature of this role there is no holiday allowed during this assignment.

Pre-Relay Responsibilities:
*Assist in OTR team accommodation planning including staff rotations, staff breaks, master roster compilation etc
*Liaise with LOCOG Tour Services team to co-ordinate all team rooms and meals according to their master plan
*Work with the team to ensure all staff are positioned accordingly based on work plans and schedule
*Develop master roster for all crew moving each day of the OTR
*Assist with rotational rosters for all resting crew over 70 days
*Develop and manage plan for motivation of staff over 70 relay days, including managing budget
*Liaise with OTR agencies to get all names of crew in the roster by end of February to be included in the master accreditation list
*Assist with equipment planning and distribution
*Assist with uniform plan and distribution
*Assist in staff training including accommodation planning, equipment testing, presentation material
*Assist with writing after action recap of all operational areas

On Relay Responsibilities:
*Liaise with OTR Manager to send and receive documents, shipments etc
*Work with LOCOG Tour Services Team to monitor the Team expenditures
*Facilitate Olympic Torch Relay Team motivation plans
*Assist LOCOG Tour Services with necessary daily duties for the Team
*Assist team in logistic needs from Tour Services location
*Solutions Manager for Tour Service logistics and operations
*Write daily recap reports for Olympic Torch Relay activation
*Acquire supplies needed for Olympic Torch Relay Core Team
*Organise and arrange per day submissions
*Settle Tour Services expenses with LOCOG team
*Weekly tour Services budget review with OTR management team
*Liaise with the Finance Team to keep them updated on Tour Services status
*Liaise with Staffing Agency finance department to arrange all per day payments

Skills and Experience required:
*Ideally we are looking for someone with a strong events background
*Previous experience of co-ordinating large teams of people
*Previous experience of arranging large amounts of accommodation
*Dealing with budgets and expenses
