Job Description:
Business Development Manager, Up to £50K per annum Commission, Hamilton based.
Purpose of role
To identify and target blue chip public and private sector clients to sell companies Training Solutions.
To identify, write, research and prepare 'winning' bids as well as assemble expert teams to respond to appropriate invitations to tender from new and existing clients.
Skills and experience needed
Excellent communication and listening skills
To be persuasive and quick to see an opportunity
Knowledge of the Diversity, HR and Training sector
To be happy working in a competitive, target-driven atmosphere
To enjoy working with customers and building relationships.
Experience in identifying opportunities for Tenders and Preferred Supplier Agreements with blue chip corporate clients and Public Sector Organisations
Liaising at all levels up to senior management
Research and consulting with subject matter experts.
Presenting proposals and general client interfacing.
Experience of creating and mining databases
Ability to research, understand and communicate challenging ideas or topic areas
Ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships in different sectors and industries
Other Information
Use our clients extensive sales client database to contact clients and build relationships with them
Work with the Group to ensure all parties have agreed ways of working and are contracted appropriately.
Consult with delivery teams regarding costing and budget breakdowns of proposed solutions.
Keep abreast of any developments in policy and market trends (best practice) etc
Keep abreast of any developments in policy etc with the HR, training and personnel sector.
Research these sectors' key websites and publications for new business opportunities.
Produce reports on these new business opportunities for senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success within a sales environment.
It was be highly desirable if you also have experience of sales within a training/e-learning capacity.
