Job Description:
* Interim Cost Accountant * £150 - £170 per day * Role based in Coventry

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to work on an immediate interim basis for one of our clients based in Coventry.

You can either work on a daily contractor rate or be paid PAYE at £15 per hour. This role is also a permanent position so could suit someone who is available to work immediately but could be available on a permanent basis if all goes well.

The purpose of this role is to work within the Accounts Department, your responsibility will be to maintain the Product Standard Costs, Inventory Valuation, Variance Analysis and assist in the management accounts preparation.

Duties include:
Maintaining Standard Costs and Inventory Vaulations
Variance Analysis Investigation and Resolution, including Bills of Material and Operational Routings
Cost Roll-up calculations
Overhead Rate calculations
Assistance in the preparation of spreadsheet based Management Accounts
Involvement in the Stocktaking processes, including validating Inventory Values
General ad hoc accounting duties as may be required

Skills and Experience required:
Relevant Costing experience to include variance analysis and resolution, cost roll up calculations, overhead cost rate calculations, bills of material and routing investigations
Relevant Management Accounting experience including ledger posting and analysis
Good MS Excel skills (v lookups, pivot tables and creating formulas)

It would be desirable to have a candidate with Automotive Industry experience or experience of the Manufacturing Industry (preferably Press or Weld assembly)
