Job Description:

Cost Accountant is required for this reputable niche automotive parts manufacturing company based in Coventry.

The successful Cost Accountant will ideally have experience working within the manufacturing industry, preferably the automotive sector but this is flexible.

You'll be working within the Accounts Department with responsibility to maintain the Product Standard Costs, Inventory Valuation, Variance Analysis and assist in the Management Accounts preparation.

The individual must have a good appreciation of the existing processes, and must be able to demonstrate an understanding of :

' Maintaining Standard Costs and Inventory Valuations;
' Variance Analysis Investigation and Resolution, including Bills Of Materials (BOM's) and Operational Routings;
' Cost Roll-up calculations;
' Overhead Rate calculations;
' Assistance in the preparation of spreadsheet based Management Accounts;
' Involvement in the Stocktaking processes, including validating Inventory Values
' General ad hoc accounting duties as may be required

Ideally you will be working to or have completed your CIMA qualification, have excellent MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, excellent communication skills and have experience of the above.
