Job Description:
* Construction Manager * £35,000 - £40,000 p.a. * Based in Chertsey, Surrey OR Warrington Cheshire * Travel Involved *

Construction Manager is required for this global leading telecom engineering company who specialise in supplying this niche product for thousands of consumer and industrial products.

To be based in Chertsey, Surrey or Warrington, Cheshire this Construction Manager will be required to oversee the leg work of construction sites around the UK. Sites can range from simple street lamp works right through to large scale electronic building works.

Main Job Responsibilities:

' Ensure that all health, safety and environmental legislation are met;
' Maintain safe working environment;
' Monitor contractor performance;
' Liaise with acquisition and design departments on site issues;
' Ensure sites are built to program and budgets;
' Checking and auditing of sub-contractors;
' Highlight and monitor variations and discuss fully with QS
' Be aware of commercial implications;
' Ensure all QA procedures are implemented throughout the department;
' Engineering solutions to site difficulties;
' Chairing monthly build department meetings;

The successful Construction Manager MUST have:

' Commercial awareness;
' Working knowledge of HSE legislation;
' Full clean driving licence;
' Constructing telecom site experience;
' Degree in Civils or Building;
' Personnel skills.
